MEXICO ATEMPORAL MUSIC

is a unique collaboration created by Christopher Garcia and Pablo Leñero in 2018,
which continues to evolve organically through discussions, meals, performances, rehearsals,
recordings, and travels in the Americas, in addition to collaborations with Indigenous musicians
like Ramiro Ramirez Duarte of Grupo Tribu Musica, in both traditional and contemporary settings.
They combine the beauty, depth, and resonance of Indigenous breath and percussion instruments
from Mesoamerica with the European pianoforte, utilizing extended “prepared piano” techniques,
electronics, and poetry to create a new organic resonance never before consistently cultivated
or nurtured by composer-performers in an ongoing working environment.
